Exactly? Portmeirion, a tiny magical Welsh village, inspired by Portofino’s colourful buildings.

Why? I visited festival No. 6 last year and I loved it so much, this time round they’ve asked The Style Traveller to be a brand ambassador for the festival.  As part of sharing the love we are going to give away a pair of 2 free tickets for the festival. This year the festival dates are 7th – 10th Sept.

Situated atop a picturesque estuary in North Wales, Portmeirion is one of the most visited and quirkiest tourist destinations in the country. For four nights and days in September the quaint, colourful village is transformed into a festival full of art, music, culture and partying.

Whether you’re into big headline acts on the main stage, dancing to DJ’s by the beach, listening to talks from authors and artists, doing paddle board yoga or quaffing champagne sat in a hot tub, whilst listening to a string quartet, there’s something for everyone at Festival No. 6.  And I have to say, if you’re a foodie, this is the festival for you.

Top UK chefs host banqueting tables for lunch and dinner at the festival.

During the headline performances the main stage is flooded with oversized balls, similar to the props used in the infamous 1970’s TV series Prisoner which was filmed in Portmeirion village.
