After taking a look at the private quarters of the Obamas at the White House, it is time to celebrate with the First Family of the United States as they give a festive uplift to the White House for the last time. President Obama and his family have unveiled the larger-than-life decorations for their final holidays in the White House.

A holiday favorite, the White House Gingerbread House sits in the State Dining Room. This season’s baked house is made of 150 pounds of gingerbread, 100 pounds of bread dough, 20 pounds of gum paste, 20 pounds of icing, and 20 pounds of sculpted sugar pieces.
Each year, a nearly 17 foot 6 inch, farm-grown fir tree stands in the center of the Blue Room. One of the most iconic White House holiday feature, this year’s tree celebrates “We the People,” and is trimmed with ribbon garland.
Larger than life replicas of the First Dogs, Bo and Sunny, stand tall with more than 25,000 yarn pom-poms in the East Wing Hallway.
At the unveiling ceremony, Michelle Obama stated, “As we celebrate my family’s last holiday season in the White House, I’m thinking back to when we first came here to Washington and we promised to open this house to as many people to as many backgrounds as possible.”
From floor to ceiling, all rooms are trimmed with the spirit of Christmas.
