The Style Traveller Best of 2018 Round Up!
The Style Traveller Best of 2018 Round Up!
Here at Style traveller HQ 2018 has been yet another seriously busy year of travel. The start of a new year is perfect time to reminisce and appreciate all of the incredible experiences that the past year has brought.
Flaubert wrote ‘Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world’. It certainly does, there is rarely a day when I don’t think about how lucky I am and by no means do I take my life and job for granted. I see each trip as an opportunity to see the world in a new light, learn from it.
Over the past 12 months I’ve managed to clock up over 30 destinations, taken 25 flights, been featured in 14 magazine and newspaper articles, nominated for 2 blog awards and got invited onto the This Morning show on ITV to be a presenter of the Holidays of the Rich and Famous segment. (pictured above)
I managed to tick off a couple of bucket list destinations off in there too, with visits Cambodia, Vietnam and Peru. I also revisited Rio de Janeiro which is one of my all time favourite cities.
Wow what a whirlwind. Thank you so much for joining me on this incredible journey. Here’s my photo diary of The Style Traveller Best travel moments of 2018…
January
I started off the year in the Caribbean, on the beautiful island of Petit St Vincent. I returned to London to present the travel slot on ITV’s This Morning show, then quickly jetted off to Asia for an exciting trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. (pictured above and below at Angkor Wat temple.)
February
The cold month of Feb brought with it another London Fashion Week where I partnered with Mercedes Benz and got to experience some incredible fashion shows.
And after fashion week I headed off to warmer climes, Marrakech and more specifically the incredible Royal Mansour Hotel (voted best hotel in Africa) was my next on my travels.
March
After a delightful weekend break to the Lake District with Ferrari (above) we jetted off to Marbella, Spain for the opening of the new Nobu Hotel. (below)
April
There were no April showers this year, I spent most of the month on a road trip in California culminating in a party weekend at Coachella. This month also saw The Style Traveller getting featured in Elle Magazine as one of the Top Travel Blogs and we were voted in Vuelio’s Top Ten Luxury Travel Blogs.
May
I managed to sneak in my first of two trips to Ibiza in May, for opening weekend. Ibiza is one of my favourite destinations in the world, not just for the partying but more for the spa and holistic side these days. As well as a trip to Mykonos and Monaco.
I also managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Mykonos with the luxury fitness company Helios retreats.
One of my favourite trips this year was to Monaco to experience 48 hours as a billionaire in Monaco.
From Riva Yachts to helicopters, no expense was spared on this one.
The middle of the year saw a wonderful luxury trip to Porto Montenegro with Regent Hotels. (above)
Then I jetted off to Kenya for an inspirational safari trip to the Masai Mara with Fairmont Hotels.
July
This month I went to Dublin for a girls weekend and I also stayed at the beautiful Ritz Carlton Abama in Tenerife. (above and below)
Next up was Goodwood Festival of Speed where I got to test drive the new Ferrari followed by an amazing trip to Brazil with Belmond.
August
August started off with a trip to the incredible ancient site of Machu Picchu in Peru, (below) this has been on my bucket list for years. Then we got back to London I headed back to This Morning studios for another show.
September
After another London Fashion Week I went back to Ibiza for the closing parties.
And October was all about the Ultimate girls holiday to Bahrain. (above and below)
November I went to Dubai to review a shopping guide by Best at Travel.
December
And I ended the year with a trip to Champagne, France with Laurent Perrier and a lovely few festive weeks in London.
Rounding up the year with my parents on a ski trip to Gstaad.
After such a hectic year I can only say thank you so much to you all for visiting my site, supporting me on instagram and You Tube.
So what does next year have in store? I’ll keep you posted.
Happy new year guys!! Here’s hoping 2019 is an amazing year for you all!

Happy New Year!
Ring out wild bells to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light:
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
