While styles often come and go only to come around again, a few iconic looks evolve into a tradition. Hence the new NikeLab Pocketknife DM Shoe ($TBA) is not a reinvention of the classic 1998 Pocket Knife from the All Conditions Gear (ACG) line of flexible shoes, but its true heir and descendant.
Genetics tell as the new Pocketknife silhouette has twice the interlocking system of webbing as its 20th-century predecessor. The new stretch upper has a super comfortable drawstring lacing closure and discrete elastic sidepanels supporting the tongue for the maximum in firmness of fit and freedom of movement.
The unusual outsole is divided into four white rubber pods, with traction being provided by rectangular patterned grips on the bottoms. This new generation of the Pocketknife DM sneaker comes in three fresh colorways: Black over Blue, Gray over Tan and Black, and Tan over Ivory. There is also a very limited special edition All-White run being released for the 4th of July!
