Exactly? We stayed at the beautiful, luxury hotel, Gran Melia Colon which is part of the leading Hotels of the World group.
When? November 2018. The temperatures were around 28°C in the day. I would highly recommend this as a winter sun destination.

Last week I was super excited to be invited on a special mystery trip with British Airways. We started the day in Brighton, with a visit to the i360 tower pictured above. Once we reached the top the BA crew handed me the winning envelope, inside which were my flights to a mystery destination. Up until this point I had no idea where I would be going! I got Seville! Yay!
Afterwards we were whisked straight off to the airport where we boarded our flight. This weeks blog all about what we got up in Seville.

I’m a huge fan of Spain and I’d never visited Seville. On top of that I’m also a huge Game of Thrones fan, so when I found out my secret destination I was over the moon!
The Alcazar of Seville
The Alcazar of Seville is renowned as the most beautiful royal palace and gardens in Spain. The Unesco World Heritage site was originally built by the Moorish kings and is to this day used by the royal family as their official Seville residence. Parts of it are also open to the public.
Wander through the ancient magical verandas, taking in the intricate tiling and art work. The gardens are perfectly manicured and filled with water features, palm trees and flowers. It’s a wonderful way to while away a chilled morning or afternoon. And best of all it’s part of the set location for Dorne in Game of Thrones.
Style Traveller Tip: You can purchase tickets online prior to arrival, which I would recommend if you’re visiting on a weekend as the queues can get long.

After a morning at the palace head to the old town square and indulge in one of these exquisitely sculptured ice-cream flowers from Amorino. It’s almost too beautiful to eat! Almost!
Where to Stay
We stayed at the splendid Gran Melia Colon hotel which is a member of the Leading Hotels of the world group. And I can see why. The service, decor, food and setting of the hotel are all exceptional.
Located in the historic old quarter of Seville, it’s within easy walking distance of all the tourist attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants you might choose to visit. It’s newly refurbished interiors are a super stylish blend of old baroque furnishing meets modern, minimal, wide open spaces.
The doors to each of the guest rooms are adorned with classical Spanish Artists paintings from El Greco to Goya.
Style Traveller tip: Ask for a room on the 7th floor (Goya) as thats where the private hot tub rooms are located!
The hotel is elegantly decorated with beautiful seating areas such as the outdoor terrace above.

There’s a well stocked, ginormous buffet as well as a la carte menu options in the breakfast room. #BreakfastGoals
