Although the weather is unusually cold for this time of year, don’t let that stop you getting out and about. There are some great exhibitions to enjoy, March events and fantastic places to travel to right now.
There’s a definite move away from ostentatious displays of wealth these days and we hope that you’ll find our article on defining luxury of interest. It’s quite a subjective notion as luxury means something different to everyone.
March Events
Yayoi Kusama is one of our favourite living artists and we were lucky to see some of her work in Ginza, Tokyo. This month there’s a new exhibition featuring her iconic pumpkin paintings at Omer Tiroche Gallery in Mayfair. Yayoi Kusama: Small Pumpkin Paintings displays a range of works together for the first time in the UK. They represent her childhood and the conflict between escapism and reality. The exhibition is open from 1 March to 1 June 2018, weekdays from 10 am to 6 pm at Omer Tiroche, 21 Conduit Street.
Head to Tate Modern from 8 March for the first solo exhibition of Pablo Picasso to ever be held there. The EY Exhibition: Picasso 1932 – Love, Fame, Tragedy will take visitors on a journey through 1932, that many refer to as his ‘year of wonders’. With more than 100 paintings, sculptures and sketches on display, it’s highly anticipated.
Lifestyle File

Have you adapted your beauty routine to the cold weather? If not then our tips on how to get great Spring skin should hopefully come in handy.
Luxury brand Lalique are celebrating 130 years in 2018 and the launch of their new jewellery collection, Hirondelles. The word means swallow which is the symbol of Lalique and good luck. René Lalique used the swallow image regularly in his designs and the new collection includes a beautiful swallow necklace, pendant earrings and an open ring.
If you’re a fan of music and pianos in particular then the new Steinway & Sons Sunburst piano will definitely strike a chord. This Limited Edition model features the sunburst colours adorning the guitars of rock legends like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. We went to the launch at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London, a very fitting venue indeed. There will only be 69 of these stunning pianos worldwide, celebrating 1969, the year in which the Beatles released their Abbey Road album.
