What to Expect at Cannes Yachting Festival 2024

The 47th edition will bring the cream of the yachting crop to Cannes

The Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 – the inaugural event of the yachting season and Europe’s largest in-water boat show – is back from September 10-15. From the Vieux Port to Port Canto, this year marks the show’s 47th edition and will see a few layout changes.

A new marina covering 2,000sqm will bring the best of the international boating sector together, with more than 160 new products and world premieres, 600 exhibitors presenting some 700 monohull, multihull, rigid, semi-rigid, new or previously owned sail and motor boats from 5m to 50m and the latest equipment.

Many recent YACHT STYLE Award nominees and winners will be exhibiting, with most of them having world premieres of their latest creations.

Ferretti Yachts will showcase many impressive models including this INFINITO 80

Ferretti Group

With one of the largest displays every year, the Ferretti Group has seven premieres from several brands: such as the Custom Navetta 38, Pershing GTX80, Ferretti Yachts INFYNITO 80, Ferretti Yachts 670, Riva El-Iseo, wallywhy100 and wallypower50.

Azimut Benetti

A grand display of Azimut yachts includes the S7 and 36 Metri, as well as the Atlantis 45, Verve 48, Fly 53 and 62, and the 17.5m Seadeck 6 – the first model from the hybrid that is ideal for families wanting longer cruises. The low-emission Seadeck 6 is Azimut’s most innovative and sustainable yacht ever.

Lagoon 43 and Lagoon 60

The legendary Lagoon 42 sailing catamaran passes the torch in September with the world premiere of the Lagoon 43. The new hull form of the Lagoon 43 features generous interior volumes – as well as larger berths and cabins. The all-new Lagoon 60, a large-flybridge design, has a huge aft cockpit that fully opens out onto the water, with hull sides that hinge down like butterfly wings to create a very large terrace.

Sanlorenzo SP92 and SL86A

Sanlorenzo debuts two models, the SP92 and SL86A, with visuals being under wraps. The SL86A expands Sanlorenzo’s pioneering Asymmetric range with the port side deck moved up a level, increasing the interior volume to allow a very spacious full-beam master on the main deck and an expanded saloon. The second boat in Sanlorenzo’s SP (Smart Performance) line, the SP92 is a combination of style and performance. The award-winning SP110, its predecessor in 2022 will also be shown.

Princess Yachts

Princess Yachts, the UK’s largest luxury yacht manufacturer, will showcase two world premieres as part of an eight-yacht line-up – the first showing of two highly-anticipated S Class models, the all-new luxurious Princess S80 and S65 sports yachts.

Also making its debut is a crossover design, the ClubSwan 43, a highly capable racer; and there’s a 75ft motor premiere: Swan Arrow, a “superyacht packaged in a smaller size”.

Sunreef 60 Power Eco

Premiering its 60 Sunreef Power Eco this year, the Polish shipyard, which also has a growing production facility in the UAE, has long used Cannes and Monaco shows as its main events to debut new yachts. The 60 Sunreef Power Eco, like the larger Eco models, offers its revolutionary solar-power system with photovoltaic cells built into the hull, superstructure and flybridge hardtop.

Prestige F5.7

The new Prestige F5.7 will make its world premiere, and be on display with Prestige Yachts’ new M8, F4.9 and X60. Faithful to the new-generation F-Line, the F5.7 embraces cutting-edge technology.

Pearl 82

With a length of 82ft, this UK-built yacht presents the only one in her class to feature a raised pilothouse. Its master cabin is located on the main deck and has a private terrace on the foredeck. The Pearl 82 has four ensuite cabins below deck, and the garage is large enough to accommodate a Williams 395 tender and a Sea-Doo.

Van Der Valk

This Netherlands-based builder that specialises in bespoke superyachts presents 32m Jangada, built for an owner who requested a jetstream pool onboard for their challenging morning exercise routine.

Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid

Slovenia’s Greenline Yachts is putting sustainability front and centre as it showcases its hyper-efficient new Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid. Featuring Greenline’s next-generation hybrid H-Drive propulsion, the flagship demonstrates that comfort and responsible yachting can co-exist.

Absolute Yachts Navetta 48

Space and light merge in the Navetta 48 that is perfect for long journeys: ample storage spaces, and an aft crew cabin. Absolute also displays the 48 Coupe, 58 Fly, Navetta 52 and more models, up to the 60 Fly and Navetta 75.

September’s Cannes Yachting Festival will launch an “Innovation Route”, aimed at promoting nautical technology and is environmentally-friendly: engines, propulsion, waste management, end-of-life solutions, eco-design, optimisation ideas, innovative materials, and eco-minded services.
