In the Trenches

It’s been very warm in New York recently a little rainy. I heard we’re going to have a warmer than usual spring (take that groundhog), so I’m trying to get my warmer weather wardrobe in order. Even though I said I wasn’t allowed to buy anymore tan trenches, I already caved. I can’t help it. Outerwear is to New York what cars are to LA. It’s what everyone sees so I collect them until they no longer fit in my coat closet.

It rained during New York fashion week so many of the editors pulled out their own trench coats. It goes without saying that it also rained in London so we saw a lot of trenches worn during London fashion week too. The fashion flock made for great inspiration for this post.

I’ve put together some of my favorite trenches available at Nordstrom right now. I love the ones with interesting sleeve details and of course the classic Burberry trench. The best part of shopping at Nordstrom is the free shipping and returns. Who knows, I might buy myself another one too.

I love the feminine details like the rushed sleeve tops on this Rebecca Taylor Trenchtrench-coats-spring-2017-habituallychic-003
This fashionista braved the slush puddles in her Tibi Trench Coat.

The Tibi Trench Coat is actually my favorite and the one I am thinking of buying myself. I love the gathered cuffs on the sleeves which makes it look a little romantic and different.

I also love the puffed sleeves on this Silk Trench Coat.

The piping on the fold back cuffs of this really well priced Relaxed Trench Coat adds a nice little hint of color.

The covered placket on this Helmut Lang Trench Coat creates a less cluttered line for minimalists.

A Burberry Cashmere Wrap Trench would be very chic for any fashion week.

I think everyone should also own a trench in black that can be worn from day to night.

I loved everything on the Lanvin runway today in Paris and this Lanvin Black Satin Trench would be so chic for walking along the Seine in the City of Light.

Happy almost Spring!

XOXO,

HC
