It doesn’t matter if you haven’t been able to make it to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The American comedian, television host is selling her Santa Barbara home and offering an opportunity to own as well as live in her house. Emmy-winning actress Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Australian–American actress Portia de Rossi, have listed their storied Santa Barbara villa for $45 million.
Prominently featured in Ellen’s 2015 book Home and known as ‘The Villa,’ the estate dates to the 1930s.
However Ellen and Portia purchased the villa in 2012 and expanded the estate through the acquisition of two adjacent properties, which now totals 16.88 acres.
Home to six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, nine fireplaces, multiple libraries, and a guest annex, the historic property has been given a contemporary makeover to sync in with the relaxed California lifestyle. A dramatic indoor-outdoor entertaining pavilion known as Jordan Hall was built from stone excavated on-site and hand-made iron windows.

The secluded, gated estate, offers expansive views of the ocean, harbor, and mountains from nearly every vantage point.
The quarter-mile drive from the gates to the main structure gives a view of the expansive green ground strewn with olive and eucalyptus trees, charming fountains, colorful gardens, and eye-catching statuary and sculpture.
