Luxury Travel Wardrobe Essentials

When you travel to luxury locations, you need to look the part. You do not want to stand out for all the wrong reasons. So, today, I thought I would go through some of the wardrobe essentials you will need when you travel to luxury destinations.

A stylish swimsuit

When you stay in high-end hotels and resorts or take a lot of cruises, you are almost certainly going to be spending time by the pool. So, you will need to treat yourself to some new swimwear from somewhere like JD Williams. Your costume or bikini does not have to cost a lot to look good. It just needs to be well-made, stylish and most importantly of all, fit properly. Make sure that you choose something you will also be happy wearing in a hot tub or at the spa.

A pair of designer sunglasses

Stylish sunglasses will really help you to blend in. Just be sure to choose a pair that are right for the shape of your face and stick to the classics to get the most out of them.

A hat

I always like to travel with a hat. They protect my face from the sun and add a touch of class to most outfits. If you choose a good quality classically styled one you will be able to wear it for many years to come.

Travel pants

For the journey, you need to be wear clothing that is comfortable as well as stylish. Travel pants are the ideal option. They are generally loose fitting and soft seams. Provided you choose a stylish pair they can easily be worn for sight-seeing, as well. Usually, they have at least two deep pockets, which can come in very handy when you are traveling.

Tops made from luxury fabrics

A nice satin or silk blouse paired with a good quality skirt or pair of trousers is a great outfit choice for a luxury destination. Plus, these types of blouses will not look out of place when worn with jeans.

A good jacket

A blazer or similar jacket cut can be dressed up or down. So, it is always worth packing one or wearing it for the journey.

A formal outfit or two

Many luxury travelers still enjoy fine dining, which sometimes means eating in restaurants that have a strict dress code. Men typically need a jacket and tie, while women are asked to wear a dress, skirt or dress pants.
You may want to dress formally to attend operas and other similar events. Plus, most cruises still have formal evenings when black tie attire is the standard.

So, most luxury travelers take the time to pack smart as well as casual clothes. What you choose to take is very much up to you. But, it will need to be fairly lightweight and crease resistant. If you are going on a weekend break for which you need formal attire, this piece of luggage that I reviewed a while back may be the answer. It is an especially good option for women who want to travel with a long dress.
