The Ecurie Ecosse LM69 Evokes an Authentic Le Mans Driving Experience

Nominated for ‘Bespoke Car of the Year’, the Ecurie Ecosse LM69 stood strong as a finalist in The Historic Motoring Awards 2019, against the Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato Continuation, a Jaguar E-type special edition (E-type UK), a Jaguar XK120-LM (Justin Hills & Barry Fitzgerald) and the Lancia Aurelia Outlaw (Thornley Kelham). Recognised as one of the most elite in the international classic automotive industry, the spectacular LM69 remains true in spirit and is sympathetic to the style of its legendary predecessor – a prototype built by Jaguar in 1966 meant to continue the marque’s legendary run of success in the Le Mans 24 Hours, known as the XJ13.

Conceptualised based off a strict brief, the Ecurie Ecosse LM69 showcases an all-new design, intended to exude its own purposeful beauty. Centred by the unique signature that has been designed to evoke an authentic Le Mans driving experience, the LM69 is fitted with a quad-cam V12, and suitable for both track and road use. Benefiting from innovations that appeared during the XJ13’s prime, the LM69 utilizes a variety of composite materials, which result in a build lighter than the original car.

Boasting experimental aerodynamic devices, wider wheels and tyres, and a significantly-improved engine, the LM69 adheres strictly to the regulations of the time, incorporating only the details and technology which entered motorsport prior to 1969. Worth approximately $1.18 million for a standard right-hand-drive configuration, the Ecurie Ecosse LM69 will be available in a range of customizations, including left-hand drive.

Limited to an exclusive production run of 25 examples, the Ecurie Ecosse LM69 is expected to cover zero to 60 miles per hour in a matter of 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 210 mph, whilst keeping with the 1969 FIA homologation requirements. Hand-built in the West Midlands by the best British craftsmen in their field, the Ecurie Ecosse LM69 will be scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2021.
