I really can’t believe the end of the year is upon us. This year flew by which means it’s time to think about what to wear for New Year’s Eve. Not many people like going out in New York since it’s such a hassle but here are some ideas for what ever type of party you are attending.
If you are attending a black tie affair for New Year’s Eve, why not channel the Duchess of Cambridge. She wore this same Saloni flocked chiffon gown with an illusion front panel to an event this year. The best part is that it’s 50% off now!
I’d add a little color with this Pomellato Nudo Classic 18-karat rose gold amethyst ring.
If you are celebrating in a cold climate, you may want to wear these closed toe Gianvito Rossi Satin Pumps. They come in 18 other colors to match any New Year’s Eve outfit.
To add a little more color and to match the ring, I’d add this Tom Ford Leather Trimmed Satin Clutch.
To give your winter skin a glow for the evening, I highly recommend Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream. According to the description, it’s “famed for its ability to instantly rehydrate dull, stressed and even hungover complexions.” Perfect for the morning after any event but especially New Year’s Eve!
If you are celebrating in a warm climate like the Caribbean, I love this Self Portrait Guipure Lace Midi Dress which is also on sale for 50% off.
If it’s humid at the beach, why not pull your hair back and wear these chic black beaded Oscar de la Renta Tassel Earrings.
These black Gianvito Rossi Suede Sandals would be the perfect shoe for a warm New Year’s Eve.
Maybe the tassel earrings and the tassel on this silk-satin clutch from The Row would be too much together. Or maybe they are the perfect complements. You decide.
If you’re headed to the beach and aren’t that tan, you may need this Victoria Beckham for Estee Lauder Bronzer for a little glow.
If you’re spending New Year’s Eve in a cold city, I love this black and gold Adam Lippes Flocked Jacquard Dress.
If I didn’t already own a gold and pearl ring, I would be buying this Givenchy Pearl Ring.
I love a stacked heel boot with a midi-length dress and these pull on Gianvito Rossi Knee Boots would also keep you warm on a cold New Year’s Eve in NYC.
This Chloe Mini Textured Leather Shoulder Bag has a chic gold chain strap that can be worn cross body so you won’t lose it while you are out celebrating.
Since the outfit doesn’t have any color, I would add this Tom Ford Beauty Lipstick in the pretty Mitchell color.
I think the most luxurious way to ring in the New Year is at home or at a friend’s apartment or house. It also gives you the perfect excuse to wear a chic pair of black Silk Pajamas. That way you can fall into bed at the end of the night without even changing.
I would add this Mizuki Pearl and Diamond Necklace to dress up the pajamas.
To further dress up the pajamas, I would pair the pajamas with these rich burgundy Alexandre Birman Clarita Bow-Embellished Velvet Sandals.
If you are having the party in your own home, you obviously won’t need a purse but if you’re headed out, I love this pale pink Mirrored Metal Clutch.
Wearing sandals for New Year’s Eve means you better have a good pedicure. This Nars + Sarah Moon Nail Polish in La Dame en Noir would be a sexy color to help ring in the New Year.
