Asus has just introduced the world’s thinnest & lightest portable 1080p display, the ZenScreen MB16AC Portable USB Monitor ($250). This 15.6″ full HD companion monitor is also the first ever to offer a portable hybrid-signal solution that makes it fully compatible with nearly every laptop via a single USB connector cable.
Offering the choice of a mirror or second display, the ZenScreen is only 8mm thick and weighs in at less than 2 lbs. It gets both its power and video transmission from the host device using either the native USB-C connection or via an installed driver that will support USB-A connections. If the host device runs a Windows OS, the DisplayWidget software can switch the monitor from landscape to portrait automatically. In addition, the monitor uses their exclusive Ultra-Low Blue Light technology to give four levels of blue light reduction and also features a certified Flicker-free viewing. Includes a foldable ‘smart’ case that becomes the monitor’s stand.
