Following the success of Geared Online, an exciting new platform for auctions to be held exclusively through a dedicated website and mobile bidding app, the Santa Monica-based classic car auction house, Gooding & Co is now taking its annual Scottsdale sale to the web as well. Headlining the sale with the exact same record-breaking model sold during the first Geared Online event, vintage car enthusiasts everywhere can expect the opportunity to claim an all-new 966 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose in pristine, unrestored condition.
The Annual Gooding & Co. Scottsdale Sale Goes Online
Regarded the most expensive model ever sold online at approximately $3.08M, the annual Scottsdale’s 966 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose represents another example of the exact same model and year, with a $2.4M pre-auction estimate. Though not worth nearly as much as the previous example, this 966 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose features an elongated front and a torque-tube driveshaft, and is finished with a combination of Mananello’s iconic Rosso Chiaro paint, red leather upholstery and cloth inserts.
With over 40,000 original miles on the odometer, and a legendary 3.3-liter Colombo V12 mated to Ferrari’s first-ever road-going five-speed transaxle, this stunning beauty has not seen light of day for at least five decades. Decked out in period’s most advanced technologies including an independent double wishbone suspension, and a single-unit all-syncromesh five-speed gearbox and differential, this 966 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose will be available for sale during the Geared Online Scottsdale Edition auction from 18th to 22nd January 2021, amongst a multitude of other prestigious and historic builds.
