Occupying the site for forty years, Louis Vuitton is set to unveil the Ginza Namiki building on 17th March 2021. The newly constructed glass tower is expected to showcase the Maison’s chocolate boutique named Le Chocolat V, and a new café dubbed, ‘Le Café LV’ on the top floor.
Unlike Sugalabo V, the brand’s exclusive restaurant in Osaka, Le Café LV, will be more easily accessible to the public, with beautifully curated pastries and cakes in the form of chocolate soufflés, lattes with LV monogram inspired foam art, and seasonal desserts. Meanwhile, Le Chocolat V is expected to package LV monogram chocolates in boxes of 4, 9, 16 and 125 pieces, with flavours specially conceptualized by Japanese chef Yosuke Suga.

Disclosing the twin developments in an exclusive interview, Michael Burke, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Louis Vuitton, said these projects aim to engage with one of the most advanced and sophisticated luxury markets in the world, and are emblematic of a new era of bespoke stores, events and content.
Slated to open two days after the chocolate boutique and café, brand enthusiasts can anticipate the “Louis Vuitton &” exhibition which will span over ten rooms, showcasing previous collaborations between the Maison and various artists including Rei Kawakubo and Takashi Murakami. The exhibition will be on display for two months, and will feature more recent artefacts such as 2018’s cruise collection by Nicolas Ghesquière, and Virgil Abloh’s spring 2021 opening look from the men’s collection. Loyal customers will also be treated to the VIP and VIC salons on the sixth floor for the perfect post-shopping stop before arriving at the chocolate store.
