Fendi Casa makes its mark in the design realm and unveiled its first flagship store in Milan. The city and location at the landmark building in Piazza della Scala were specifically selected due to Milan’s international reputation as an intersection for high fashion and design.
The project first started last year as a joint partnership between Design Holding and the Italian luxury house, jointly controlled by Investindustrial and The Carlyle Group. In teaming up, they created Fashion Furniture Design (FF Design) to develop the Fendi Casa business.
Serge Brunschiwg, CEO of Fendi, said the interior design project unifies the iconic Fendi codes and DNA in an elegant, monumental space. “We are enthusiastic about the great synergies created with Design Holding and these first months of 2022, we look forward to our future openings in Miami and Shanghai in the near future,” shared Brunschiwg.
Last week at the opening, CEO of FF Design Alberto Da Passano stated that a plan is currently underway to open an additional 40 Fendi Casa stores within the next three years. The luxury brand is looking at upscale locations in New York and Dubai as its first priority stores.

The Fendi Casa Boutique
Spanning 7,560 square feet, the flagship is not far from Fendi’s boutiques in luxury shopping arcade Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and in Via Montenapoleone. Through the boutique’s 13 large windows and entrance is Fendi’s vision of living, dining, sleeping and outdoor areas.
Adorning the space’s windows are six artisanal pieces from the KOMPA Collection which was first shown at Design Miami 2021. Born from the founder of the Botswana-based design studio and Fendi’s artistic directors, the collection explores time-honoured crafting techniques that connect past to future.

Inside the store, an immersive experience unfolds with references to the historical Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome, now used as the Fendi headquarters.
Also on display are a few of Fendi’s representations of its DNA and milestones — including the luxury brand’s artistic directors Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Delfina Delettrez Fendi and their collaboration with designer Peter Mabeo.
According to WWD, the Madua chair which was originally developed from the O’Lock logo designed by Delettrez Fendi for her first collection for fall 2021 is displayed at the entrance as well.
The prestigious two-floor store is filled with stunning furniture by nine world-renowned designers like Piero Lissoni, Cristina Celestino, Toan Nguyen and atelier oï. FF Design CEO Da Passano revealed that the brand will continue working with designers who add an eclectic approach to Fendi Casa collections.
