Cold Weather Coat Roundup

cold-weather-coats-nordstrom-habituallychic-001It was definitely a shock to come back to 43 degree weather in New York after enjoying 80 degree temperatures in Birmingham. I technically don’t need another coat since my coat closet is packed but that won’t stop me from buying a few more. The best place to shop for coats for the whole family is Nordstrom. They have so many different styles and colors and with free shipping and returns, you can’t go wrong. Here are a few of the coats I’m eyeing for myself including the camel Stand Collar Wool and Cashmere Trench Coat above.

Another great camel coat option is this Sofie D’Hoore Click Wool & Cashmere Long Coat.

Moncler is known for their warm coats and I love that this Calipso Wool Blend Jacket with Genuine Kalgan Fur Trim Coat is a chic alternative to the ubiquous puffer coat.

The wind is howling in New York today so I could use this Burberry Meldonbridge Hooded Coat with Genuine Fox Fur Trim to keep warm.

I have about four grey coats in my closet but that won’t stop me from adding more. I love this Proenza Schouler Asymetrical Mid Length Wool Length Coat for slightly less chilly days.

Actually, I think this grey Fabiana Filippi BouclĂ© Cocoon Coat with Genuine Fox Fur is the one I’m going to add to my closet.

Everyone needs a black wool coat in their closet and the gold buttons elevates this Lauren Ralph Lauren Wool Blend Maxi Coat to a chicer level.

For the longest time, I only had coats with three-quarter or bracelet sleeves. They are chic but not terribly warm for New York winters. This Vince Stand Collar Wool Coat would be perfect for those who drive or live in less cold climates.

A great alternative to a black winter coat is this navy Loewe Wool & Cashmere Coat with Removable Genuine Shearling Collar.

I don’t own a down coat and I think this might be the winter I break down and buy one. I love that this Moncler ‘Evanthia’ Down Cotton Jacket with Removable Genuine Fox Fur Trim has a nipped in waist and interesting back detail unlike most down jackets.

In a sea of black winter coats, you would definitely stand out in this red Burberry Tempsford Cashmere Wrap Trench Coat.

There comes a point in winter when you need some color and this pink J.Crew Regent Wool Long Topcoat would be the perfect pick me up.

If you’re looking a winter coat splurge, I highly recommend this Fendi Wool Coat with Genuine Shearling Trim. It would be so chic with a complete winter white ensemble.
