My friend in Utah is in the midst of building a cabin near a lake. He’s been asking my advice on various design ideas so as soon as I saw this rustic retreat near Lake Arrowhead, California in the new summer issue of C Magazine, I sent him the photos. Owner Leanne Citrone and her family bought the 1940’s house and tapped interior designer Lauren Soloff to create a more clean and modern weekend home. It’s a very similar aesthetic to what my friend would like to achieve in his own home. Although, I don’t think his will include a Chuck Close portrait.
