Lady Reveals the Prettiest Streets in London

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I love photographing London’s side streets. From the mews in Kensington to the cobbled lanes in Hampstead, I can’t get enough of the city’s quiet corners. And since I know a lot of people like exploring them as much as I do, today I bring you my guide to the prettiest streets in London.

Prettiest Streets in London

These 7 streets are worth a special detour. From their colorful houses to their overgrown hedges, they reveal a different side of London from the busy thoroughfares and iconic landmarks.

St Luke's Mews, London

Kynance Mews

Kensington‘s Kynance Mews might be the most beautiful side street in London. Known for its grand arched entrances, picture-pretty houses, spring wisteria, and autumn leaves, it has a magic that enchants locals and visitors alike.

St Luke’s Mews

Rivaling Kynance Mews in beauty, Notting Hill’s St Luke’s Mews is famous for its appearance in Love Actually. Filled with pretty pink houses, lovely doors, and overgrown facades, this street is a favorite of many London photographers.

Elm Row

It’s hard to choose which parts of Hampstead to include in a blog post about the prettiest streets in London. The neighborhood is so lovely that every street could qualify.

Elm Row, London

But Elm Row is particularly worth exploring. The post box at the entrance, the giant tree that arches over the street, and the brick houses with their double doors make it feel like it’s in a storybook village.

Mansfield Place

And that’s to say nothing of Mansfield Place. Just down the road from Elm Row, this skinny street is one of the most unique in London. Moss-covered fences line a tiny sliver for visitors to explore, adding charm and inviting adventure.

Dove Mews

No list of the prettiest streets in London would be complete without the mention of at least one road in South Kensington. While there are a lot to choose from, my favorite is Dove Mews. Colorful doors and a stairway to heaven are just two of the reasons to love this secret little place.

Lancaster Road

The rainbow-colored houses on Notting Hill’s Lancaster Road always put a smile on my face. This famous row shows off the neighborhood’s signature hues at their best.

Chalcot Square

Up in Primrose Hill, Chalcot Square not only features pretty pastel homes, but also a peaceful garden. Walking around it is like being in a dream.
