Amanda Brooks was supposed to move to England with her family for just one year in 2012. Not only are they still there, she just opened a lifestyle shop, Cutter Brooks, in Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds. It carries a carefully curated mix of vintage items like fair isle sweaters and new pieces from Atelier Vime, Scanlon Apparati, La Tuile a Loup, Astier de Villatte, and Vladimir Kanevsky. If that’s not enough, Amanda has a new book about to debut on June 5th, Farm from Home: A Year of Stories, Pictures, and Recipes from a City Girl in the Country.
I don’t know if I’ll ever make it to the Cotswolds to shop in person so I hope she starts to sell online soon. Two people who have reportedly just signed a two year lease on a house in the area are the newly married Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
