The New Lunch Menu at 108 Brasserie

I was invited to review 108 Brasserie and my food was complimentary. I was not paid to visit and was not under contractual obligation to write this blog post or create content on any platform.

Writing this post at 36 weeks pregnant I’m now winding down with blog stuff and starting a ‘maternity leave’ of sorts. With random aches and pains, nausea and tiredness my current favourite place to be is at home, rearranging our nursery, washing new born clothes and gearing up to have a brand new person in my life. That being said, I’m still taking advantages of my days of independence and enjoying a few ‘last’ lunches with my friends before becoming a mum!
An invite to try the new lunch menu at 108 Brasserie at the Marylebone Hotel was the perfect opportunity to have a ‘last’ catch up with Emma, Binny and Sima plus have a browse around the super cute baby shops in Marylebone. Just off Marylebone High Street in gorgeous Marylebone Lane, 108 Brasserie has a separate entrance to the hotel making it easy to enjoy the all day dining at the terrace, restaurant and bar. Stylish red leather sofas look pristine and new and the big bright space is really perfect for any occasion.
We definitely couldn’t say no to a bread board especially as the hotel’s famous Guinness brown bread is part of it, along with home made sourdough and soda bread with soft melting butter. If you want an aperitif and gin’s your thing, the 108 Bar has its own bespoke 108 Gin, distilled in-house. Perfect for a summer G &T as it’s made to go perfectly with Mediterranean Tonic and a slice of orange and there will also be a selection of bespoke cocktails at 108 Bar.
Having been advised that everything on the menu is good, you may choose to share a selection of the small plates. Sima and I both opted for delicious light and fresh tostadas with guacamole, black bean, chilli and coriander.

With Emma choosing burrata with seasonal tomatoes, pesto and seeded crackers.
Though we definitely all had food envy of Binny’s sweetcorn fritter, avocado, grilled halloumi, baby spinach with harissa. Fortunately she was happy to share and I can confirm it tasted as good as it looked!

Binny also excelled in ordering the main course, going for Massaman tiger prawn curry with steamed Jasmine rice. As you can see the menu has an international flavour, though the majority of the dishes have a European origin.
With it being a hot day, the rest of us opted for salads with Sima and I choosing superfood with quinoa, edamame, broccoli and pomegranate, hers topped with halloumi and mine with chicken. Emma enjoyed a main course Caesar salad with chicken. Sides of fingerling potatoes and fries were also well received.
Sticking with light options we chose apricot and Amaretti tart with clotted cream and fresh fruit and sorbet for dessert – the perfect sweet end to a really lovely lunch!
