Headed to Charlottesville

I posted this home in Charlottesville, Virginia belonging to Marina Rust and her family almost exactly one year ago. Now I’m headed to the area tomorrow for a 36 Hours in Charlottesville Wine Country trip after which I’m staying to explore the town and visit Monticello. I’ve been wanting to visit Thomas Jefferson’s home since I studied it in art history and I look forward to sharing my entire trip with you on Instagram and the blog soon but back to this house. Since I first posted this home that was featured in Vogue, I’ve found a few more photos online and from Marina’s Instagram account. She and her family visit the home as much as possible from New York to enjoy the beautiful countryside and horse country. I also found photos of what the home looked like when it was renovated and preserved for the previous owner by Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects. It’s amazing how much better it looks now with a pared down decor and less clutter. If you have any suggestions on where to go in Charlottesville, please let me know.
