I stopped by the Ralph Lauren Ladies Mansion last week to check out the new Ralph Lauren Home collections. Islesboro, the prettiest late summer collection was inspired by the “storied refinement of a grand coastal estate, where archival patterns and vintage inspired furnishings meet refreshing ease ad enveloping warmth.” Islesboro is a lovely island off the coast of Maine so there are nautical references and hints of Swans Island blankets. I fell in love with the new nubbly textured fabrics that makes me want to scheme an entirely new bedroom around a headboard upholstered in the fabric. There’s also a textured velvet made to look like denim that would make a wonderful sofa fabric. The kids in the fisherman knit sweaters in the Islesboro collection photos just add to the cozy coastal cottage charm. Although I am more than ready for fall to arrive, this collection makes me wish summer would last a little longer.
