Beeple’s $69 Million Non-Fungible Token (NFT) artwork, “Everydays: The First 5000 Days”, was the auction house’s first-ever NFT auction. Now, the artwork will be getting its own interactive event later this year.

On November 4, 2021, the image’s owner, crypto fund Metapurse, will host a one-night-only party in New York’s Terminal 5 called “Dreamverse”. The world’s first NFT-focused music, art, and technology festival. It will be the first authorised public display of

“Everydays: The First 5000 Days”.

The party is split into two parts: a gallery during the day – showcasing more than 150 artists featuring works both digitally and physically — and a projection of Beeple’s artwork in the evening. The projection will be accompanied by a set played by DJ Alesso.

Tickets for Dreamverse are currently on sale. Daytime entry to the gallery is US$30, with admission tickets to the party at $150. But if you’re willing to spend a bit more, US$475 (early bird discount) or US$600, you’ll get a black-and-white NFT ticket that changes colour when scanned. Tickets come with one drink. If you want two drinks and an extra NFT, you’ll have to upgrade to US$2,500 for the VIP tickets. Cryptocurrency is accepted for the NFT tickets.

The NFT tickets were designed by crypto-artist, Alottamoney. He, along with nine other self-described “OG NFT artists”, is part of an advisory panel that handpicked the participating artists on display at the gallery.

The event will also feature virtual and augmented reality booths, and holograms where event-goers can digitally create their own avatars.

Metapurse is the world’s largest NFT investment fund, founded by Metakovan — whose real name is Vignesh Sundaresan. In a recent release, Metakovan shared that the idea behind Dreamverse is to shift the perception that NFTs are solely “abstract or virtual”. Dreamverse was designed to represent what happens when “NFTs make landfall”.

“[The event] is a celebration of a vibrant, diverse, empathetic community,” said Sundaresan, who is based in Singapore. “Dreamverse is an expression of the renaissance we have been experiencing the last few years.”

Metapurse aims to collect meaningful stories and catalyse financial and cultural inclusion in the metaverse, according to Dreamverse’s website.
