European Living in Connecticut on a Dairy Farm

One of the best sources for inspiration when it comes to decor is from my travels. Whether it is the antique furniture carefully selected in a bed and breakfast my mother and I visited in Victoria, Canada, or the color schemes in the Maida Vale flat in London, ideas for what to pair, what type of furniture to select and how to add a touch of personality as well as a touch of mystery to provoke conversation but also provide warmth and sanctuary, travel offers endless ideas.

And it was the case with a property that was originally a dairy farm located in New Preston, Connecticut, purchased by a couple who wished to escape to Europe without having to hop on a plane that inspired the home in today’s Decor Inspiration. I have selected a few of my favorite room, but I encourage you to tour the entire property which was designed by Hamilton Design Associates in New York. The property is expansive, the views pristine and the aesthetics are certainly European-inspired. With muted hues to French doors and brick walls, no detail was spared. Enjoy finding endless inspiration.
